Climate Action
Sarnia-Lambton

Land Acknowledgement

We would like to acknowledge and honour the fact that we are living within the ancestral and traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy. For generations, the Ojibwe, Potawatomi and Odawa peoples have lived and were caretakers of this territory. As we recognize those historical connections, we also acknowledge the contributions made by all Indigenous peoples including the Metis and Inuit. Those of us who are settlers, embrace the challenges created by our colonial history and are committed to Truth and Reconciliation with all of our neighbours and friends.

Who Are We?

We are a group of citizens of Sarnia and Lambton County who share a common concern about the harmful impact of human activities on the sustainability and health of the Earth’s ecosystem and want to effect change.
